MINISTERIAL PROGRAM COURSE DESCRIPTIONS
The academic calendar for the ministerial program consists of three terms of eight to twelve weeks each. Each student must complete all three terms in order to graduate and achieve the maximum benefit of the program. At the end of each term, students are required to give a sermon or teaching presentation. These presentations enable students to exercise and develop their teaching and preaching skills while gaining confidence in front of an audience.
PRINCIPLES & PRACTICES OF THE KINGDOMThis course is designed to acquaint each individual with the revelation of God’s Kingdom on earth through the Church and how one is to operate in it. Operating in these Kingdom principles will result in one meeting their every need. You will understand how to function to receive power for daily living that far exceeds self-reliance or personal effort After enrolling in this course, you will understand how the Kingdom of God functions, and how God’s abundant life is within each believer. |
EFFECTIVE PRAYERThis course equips the students with a biblically based understanding of the vital importance of prayer for the believer as well as learning various types of intercession as well as identifying several obstacles to prayer and how to effectively overcome them. |
HOW TO BE LED BY THE SPIRIT OF GODIn this course we discover and understand how the spirit of God leads His people to live out the abundant life in Christ and through their unique callings. Upon completing this course, you will have a clear understanding of who the Holy Spirit is, the ways in which He directs our steps, and identify the difference between fleshly activity and Holy Spirit -guided activity. |
OLD TESTAMENT SURVEYOld Testament Survey is an accelerated course which highlights the important themes, perspectives, foundational truths as well as the overall significance of every book as recorded in the 39 books of the Old Testament. Upon completion of this course, the student should attain familiarity with the context and purpose of each of the Books of the Old Testament. |
HEALING, MIRACLES, SIGNS & WONDERSThis course is designed to fully equip the believer to understand and demonstrate the power and purposes of miracles, signs & wonders, fulfilling the mandate given by Jesus Christ for the Body of Christ. |
PRAISE & WORSHIPThe purpose of the course is to give the student a biblical background of the developmental use of praise and worship and its restoration and usage in the Body of Christ as well as the life of the individual believer. As a result, the student will understand the importance of drawing near to God through praise and worship and preparing the atmosphere of the congregation to experience the presence of God and preparing their hearts to receive the Word of God as a result. The student will have acquired a biblical knowledge of as well as practical skills to effectively lead praise and worship. |
NEW TESTAMENT SURVEYThis New Testament is an accelerated course, which highlights the important themes, perspectives, and foundational truths as well as the overall significance of every book as recorded in the 27 books of the New Testament. Upon completion of this course, the student should gain more familiarity with the context and purpose of each portion of Scripture. |
SERMON PREP I (SYSTEMATIC PREACHING & EVALUATION)The purpose of this course is to provide the student with an array of skills that will enable them to teach and preach effective biblical sermons. Upon completing this two-part course, the student will master the discipline of teaching and preaching in order to successfully maintain an effective pastoral ministry. |
SPIRITUAL WARFAREIn this course, we become familiar with identifying and strategizing against the kingdom of darkness. The necessary tools will be given to bring insight and eyesight to recognize and overcome the powers of satan. Upon completion of this course, students will be able to detect the wiles of the enemy which include open doors, demonic behind-the scenes operations and identify and overcome the strongmen satan deploys against people. |
THE BLESSING (POWER TO GET WEALTH)In this course we explain the origin and purpose of the Blessing of the LORD. The Blessing of the LORD is God’s original plan for every believer. The Blessing of the LORD always overrides the curse. It is the same blessing of dominion and prosperity that God placed on Adam in the Garden of Eden and was passed down through the ages to Noah, Abraham, Isaac and Jacob and now through Jesus Christ it has been passed down to every born-again believer in the Body of Christ. You will understand why the Blessing of the LORD is both a spiritual and material reality and how God has empowered you to succeed and acquire wealth as a result. |
GIFTS OF THE HOLY SPIRITThis course thoroughly identifies and explains the Gifts of the Holy Spirit and how they function and how you can learn to flow in the Gifts of the Spirit. As a result, you will understand revival and how it stirs an anointing that grows and flows with people. You will develop a Biblical understanding of the power and importance of the Anointing and the Gifts of the Spirit in the life of the believer. You will gain an understanding of the differences of the Gifts of the Spirit, as well as their individual function and operation in the life of the believer and in the Body of Christ. |
UNDERSTANDING YOUR POTENTIALUncover the purpose for which you were born, and the keys involved in fulfilling your destiny. Receive the biblical answer from God to questions that many often struggle with understanding. At the end of the course, students will have acquired an understanding of the potential they possess in Christ. They will be encouraged to rise above the opinions of others, discover the potential of the hidden man of the heart, and be ready to step out in faith and be everything God has created them to be! |
LEADERSHIP & ORGANIZATIONLeadership isn’t just for a select group of people – every person has a leadership capacity that must be discovered. This course is designed to expose and develop the gift of leadership possessed by each student. An understanding of key leadership principles is essential for both individual and team success. |
SPIRITUAL GUIDANCE/PASTORAL CARE FUNERALS/WEDDINGS & WATER BAPTISM/HOLY SPIRIT BAPTISMThis course class covers the important topics of how to effectively minister to people by offering sound biblically based counsel and spiritual guidance. The students will also have the biblical basis for foundational church practices such as baby dedications, baptisms, funerals, and weddings. The student will identify the importance of implementing a biblically based approach in performing these ceremonies and relying on the Bible for truth versus religious tradition. |
GLOBAL MISSIONS & WORLD EVANGELISMJesus gave the Church a mandate just before his ascension into heaven. It is called the Great Commission. Within this mandate there are some specific instructions regarding evangelism and discipleship. This class will empower you to understand the function and purpose of both Evangelism and Missions through the Body of Christ to impact the world and to effectively reach the masses with the message of the Gospel of the Kingdom. |
CHURCH ADMINISTRATION & HELPSThis class covers the challenges of church administration, operations, and the importance of finding qualified leadership. Students will gain a clear understanding of what is involved in the coordination of the daily affairs of a ministry and the importance of submitting wholly under authority. |
FINANCIAL STEWARDSHIPThis course will provide students with a basic understanding of how to operate using Godly stewardship and sound financial wisdom. It will also teach the importance of being good stewards over ministry finances and the fundamentals of church financial management. |
SERMON PREP II (EXPOSITORY TEACHING; SERMON DELIVERY)The purpose of this course is to provide the student with an array of skills that will enable them to teach and preach effective biblical sermons. This course further delves into the mechanics of sermon planning, preparation, and delivery. Upon completing this two-part course, the student will master the discipline of teaching and preaching in order to successfully maintain an effective pastoral ministry. |
